Rear end identification

Hello all,

I have a 12 bolt rear end with 10 bolt ring gear 3.42 gears with some type of posi. Not sure what cars this would have come from or what you would call this type of posi unit it seems to be missing a spring from inside. The letters BZ embossed into carrier and numbers 588 circled x i think means locking posi. Letters SH or HS on rear pass side of axle tube, CFD 6 on bottom front of center section. Please let me know what you think I will list photos and scrape for more numbers. Just found 402227 next to CFD 6.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Oldsmobile O-Type rearend.
1970 axle housing.
Available on Cutlass models.
Anti-Spin differential (clutch style positraction).
588 carrier used from 1967-1970 for 3.42-5.00 ratio gear sets.

Not sure what year car the differential is in, but for 1970 Oldsmobile "SH" is the code for a 3.42 Anti-Spin differential.
