Limited slip going rate

Was trying to get an idea of what I should pay for a ‘68 type O rear differential with 3.42 gears and 588 posi carrier. The housing has been changed because the original was damaged. I think it’s an SA housing. Says it’s ready to run. Is there a going rate assuming gears look fine?

That is not a crazy price these days. Check it out if close by and maybe he would take less $$ ?? Good Luck!

But as Rog stated almost same $$$ for new posi and gears you could put in axle you already have

Hard to pass up when it’s literally across the street. I passed up on it a couple years ago when he tried to trade me for a $600 ATV, but he told me it was a 2.73. I’m kicking myself for telling him the TM code was a lower gear.
He’s a Chevy guy and when he got it it was under a Camaro. The TM housing had been hacked up with new brackets to fit.

IF your car has the same 28 spline axle
With a good housing you could add the gears / posi
I would not pay more than $400 for that scene

Just saying

hope you find what makes you happy
