Housing Ends the same?

Housing Ends the same?
A friend is giving me 9" that I can use instead of building the type "O" non posi 2.73 rear that is currently in my car Cutlass. I'm not building a drag car, but I know I can build it cheaper than I can a rear end that is obsolete. My question is: can I use the Olds housing ends sold by the aftermarket rear end builders, so I can use the current rear disk setup that has brackets for Olds rear? They say they are for early Olds rear end, but I'm wondering the bolt pattern is the same as that on my present rear end? Any feedback would be appreciated.

The Olds housing ends that are advertised by the axle companies are for the early 60's Olds rears, which are completely different, different bolt flange pattern.
You can get a housing end that is the same pattern that your O-axle has.The ones that Moser has are #7900.The other companies make their versions as well.
