Help Identify this Limited Slip Carrier

I only have pictures to go on. Anyone know what this is and what it's potential application? Supposedly, it's from a '72 442.

Thanks

Posi unit info

These are from 1977-1983 ish era
They are c-clip axle type units
28 spline axles and SOME very few 31 spline wagons rears
ring gear diameter is about 8.750
The ring gear bolts are 7/16" left had thread
The ring gear IS the same bolt pattern as the 12 bolt chevy 1965-1972 era BUT the bolt holes are too large and the actual carrier width is wider than the chevy 65-72 era.

There are 3 series 17-1 17-2 17-3

17-1 holds the 2.28-2.56
17-2 holds the 2.73-3.08
17-3 holds the 3.23 and up

They came in Full size Caddy deville - wagons in the Chevy Buick Olds Pontiac rear wheel drive

Cover of the housing will have 10 bolts Will look like a PONTIAC GTO cover but larger- will have 12 bolts on the ring gear reference picture for the rear end type.

THIS rear was derived from the Pontiac Full size car that was used inthe 1965-1970 and then again in the 1971-1976 full size cars. Ring and pinion and posi units were all interchangeable AND THE DIAMETER OF THE RING WAS 8.875(like the 12 bolt chevy BUT the pinion was WAY larger 1.875). they all used 31 spline bolt in axles Same cover same 12 bolt guts. different mounting points for the early 65-70 and the 1971 -1977 had the shocks in the front like the 77-85 BUT it was wider on all the mounting points.
