Hey, silly question. I replaced my pass side rear axle without opening the differential, but have been told there should be c locks. When the mechanic removed the donor axle for that one he didn't open the differential either, just used a slide hammer. Does anyone know if there are suppose to be c locks on this car? Thanks.

 

Yours does not have C locks, its held in by the bolts and flange at the end of the housing.

 

X2 with what Eric said. The people you were talking to were thinking about Chevy rear ends, they use C clips.

 

Ye, definitely do not go back there for axle work. Jim
