65 starfire anti spin?

hi i have a rolling chassis,no drive shaft in it , suppose to be anti spin , HQ. code ,on p/s axle tube . so i jack it up and turn one wheel , they both go in the same direction, then i put one wheel on floor ,try to turn the wheel that is left of the ground , start to get resistance, then i can turn with some extra turning pressure, does this mean the clutches are worn out , and if that is the case , can i get this repaired , or buy new ones, thanks for the help, will.

"QH" is the correct code for a '65 fullsize Olds with 3.23 posir rear.

I am not sure the test you performed indicates a problem.

test

The tire diameter will provide that extra leverage to spin and break the clutch pack loose. ANOTHER issue is the beveled clutches on each side have been in the unit for AGES and are probably lazy from being loaded the whole time over 45+ years.

CAll brad at Fabcraft Metal works in TX I am sure he has the clutches for the Pontiac / Olds 9.3 power lock posi units. BRACE yourself the price may be high. Jim
