1968 442 Canadian built rear end question

Since my car has the factory Chevrolet 12 bolt what posi unit and gears can I pick for sure?
Is there a cut off year or different spline setup or what ever I need to know.

65-72m 12 bolt chevy gears and posi units will all work in the Canadian 12 bolt chevy rear. SAME rear.

30 spline c-clip axles

I just got a perfect set of 331 gears today out of a 68 Camaro that had a 12 bolt in it.
How much of a difference will I feel going from 273s?
Im also going to be buying a posi unit soon.
