i am working on a 1980 olds cutlass calais and my power seats were not working i had power to them but the seats were not moving so i took the seats out with lots of patients and questioning the parents of the gm engineers who designed the hold downs for the seat i got it out and seperatated the seat from the mechanicals and set it up on my bench i tested the motor first by unplugging it from the solinoid and applying 12v to it and it works fine but some of the cables ends are messed up or broken. i hooked the switch up and powered up the whole thing and everything works but it didn't want to shut off, i am thinking bad switch also . where can i buy parts for this seat or do i have to go the wrecking yard method? it would be nice to have this working so i can move on to other electrical problems like the ac fan radio gauges details,details a work in progress.
