When I shift from out of PARK into any gear, the transmision will shift with a loud BANG.

Vacuum modulator or something very wrong?

 

Does the car still move and drive? Was the car moving prior to the "bang" or did it happen gradually, and finally won't move?

My initial thought was a broken motor or trans mount, but I don't have enough info based on the video.

Cars runs and drives.

BANG is more noticeable inside I guess.

The noise has always been there, just getting worse.

 

Car is going in for inspection tomorrow.

Lets hope its cheap...

 

$86 and the Cutlass is legal!

Changed some vacuum lines at the carb and transmission and the thump is not as loud.
