Newbie with a '65 f-85

Hey guys, just wanted to say hello.
I've been working on a Rallye for about 8 years but this '65
came my way and I love it!
Don't know much about this year really...
plans are to remove the scoop, ad some base style steel
rims with caps. And leave it like the cheap-o, no option
stocker it was supposed to be.

Looks like the previous owner raced it, or was it just for looks? Are the rear fender wells tubbed or are the wheels that wide? Can't tell from the pictures. It looks like the car is very straight, that is good. By the way, I really like those steel wheels on the front, looks good.

Yes and no...the previous, previous owner raced it with a SBC for a short time(couple months). He then traded a but for a malibu. The buddy wanted to race it with a BBO so he set it up for an Olds motor again...got bored and sold it to me.
The wheel wells are stock, untouched units that are some of the cleanest rust free pieces I've seen.
I'm so excited to start working on this car but, realize I should concentrate on my first car.
