Cutlass hood with louvers question

I just found a 1970-1972 cutlass hood with the louvers on it in a junkyard. Can anyone tell me if it's from a cutlass s or maybe a 442?? Thanks

what year do you need ,70 is different than 71/72,i believe you can interchange 69/70 and then 71/72 but not totally sure

A picture or even a crude sketch would be amazingly helpful here...

Here is a picture of the hood. Its from a 1972, I just wanted to know if it was possibly a 442/S hood. I dont know if regular cutlasses came with the louvers.

Pretty sure all Cutlass fastbacks had that hood in 72. They are real common and almost always available on ebay and elsewhere for $100 - $200. From the factory, the louvers were painted body color. The Cutlass Supreme did not come with this hood. Hope this helps!

69/70 hoods do not interchange because the latch set up is different between the 2 years.

louvered hood

That hood will definitely fit a 1971-72 Olds Cutlass // S // or 442. Years ago I salvaged one from a 1972, 350 c.i. equiped 442. Short of an OAI hood, that was the next best thing to dress up a Cutlass. It's a shame that the louvers weren't functional, for they would make a great heat extractors, seeing how bloody hot it gets under the hood.
Hope this helps you.
Cheers,
John Paul
