My '95 Ciera is SMOKIN!
No, it really is smoking. The smoke is thin and smells electrical and only happens when I have the A/C running. It seems to be coming from beneath the alternator or generator--whatever that is that's right in front of the blower motor--I don't even know what it could be. Anybody have an idea?
Hey Skinny Puppy;
I too have a '95 Ciera, and have had a similiar problem caused by a rodent beginning to make a nest under the "blower motor resistor" which is mounted upon the firewall behind / near the alternator ( by two/ possibly three small headed screws). Upon removing this resistor from the blower housing, carefully remove any foreign debris from inside by whatever method available. Hope this helps you out.
