1961 F85 Project
1961 F85 Project
Hi there fellow Oldsmobile fans. 2 Days ago i bought my first car for $700, it is a red 1961 F85 4 door with 74,000 miles. The car has been sitting for ten years ever since the battery exploded. The engine, seats, trim, lights, and everything else is in my basement. Today i took out the carpet to find a very mickey mouse floor repair job. I'll have to patch a couple of week sposts before the interior can go back in. I'll thry to get pictures up soon
here are some pictures, on is the 215 being rebulit in my basement, one is me and my friends pushing it out of the guy's front yard, one is it half primed, and one is it sitting on jacks in the driveway awaiting its new floor pans and suspension
Nice
Somebody else who have a f-85 1961!

I know that body parts and misc aftermarket are very, very hard to find. I bought another 62 to make sure I had replacement parts as I am bringing my other one to showroom quality. There is a wrecking yard in Wendell ID that has two 61's, but he thinks he has a gold mine for parts. I believe that it is L and L autowrecking. Good luck- we all love pictures. Ebay is a good source. Cheers-
