Kick panel speakers

Need suggestion on kick panels for my 1972 Cutlass S. I need my Infinity Reference 6022i 6-1/2" speakers to fit panels.

I bought the Custom Auto Sound version from Amazon for my 6.5 Image Dynamics. Depending on depth, you will probably have to remove the bracing behind for the magnet on any quality speaker. I had to remove quite a bit, but its not a support of any kind.

Issues with clearance

Any issues with clearance (i.e. emergency brake)?

I don't have the e-brake in my car anymore, went to floor mount. I did see a couple of threads before I purchased mine that said some had the heat and bend the arm a little for clearance.

I just google'd "kick panel speakers chevelle". Unfortunately thats the only way most results turn up.

I didnt have to heat up and bend the arm on my Cutlass. I just removed the grills on the speakers and it didnt interfere with the parking brake.

Maybe its just me, but I don't want spend $100+ on a pair of speakers and leave the grills off to risk damage...

I remember reading some posts about this and some folks said the bolts that hold the brake pedal assembly can be loosened and the arm moved over a slight amount.
