Project First Car- complete

Just wanted to share a couple of quick photos. It has been just over a year that I joined this forum and 551 father/son hours later we have a project to be proud of.

Nice job! Its hard to tell but is the exterior color silver?

This may also sound crazy, but where is that bridge at? I feel like I've been on it before!

The color is Storm Grey Metallic. it is a Audi/VW color. The bridge is located in mid Missouri not far from our house. Thanks for looking.

Motor is original 350, tranny and rear end are also original. Tires are 245/45/18 and 285/40/18 on 18 x 8 up front and 18 x 9.5 in the rear.

Excellent results for all your efforts... I'm sure the father/son bond during the project is something you both will remember for a life time to come...

You are correct. Many great hours together, him learning, me soaking it in knowing that it won't last forever. I truly cherished this project.

And thank you for the compliments.

What brand of rims are on the Cutlass when seen in the avatar, and what size are they? They look great on the Cutlass along with the size tires that are mounted on them, filling up the generous wheel wells found on the 68/69 models nicely without over doing it. The exterior and interior look fantastic - job well done.

Looks fresh off the showroom floor. You don't see many 68's out here in Ca. let alone anything 68-72. Nice work!

There is NOTHING better than spending time with a son (or Daughter), bonding and creating something together. My son is only 8 but has a lot of questions about the "Red Car" in the garage. It's a '76 Cutlass S. I will be bringing it back to life and hope he will hang with me. Anyway, nice car. You should be very proud and it's great that you brought another Gearhead in this world to continue our passion after we are gone.
