Vacuum Reservoir
So this thing wasnt connected to anything in my car, wasn't mounted, it was just there. Any idea where this thing mounts to? What it is connected to? WHat is the purpose?

That's your vacuum reservoir.
It screws to the two holes on the firewall that correspond to the holes in the base.
It holds a reserve of vacuum so that when you accelerate your A/C doesn't start blowing at your feet.

OHHH! No wonder I can't feel air coming from the vents. Where does the other vacuum line go to, like physically? I know you said the controls but where? I see where the intake man. one goes (had to plug it since it was creating a big vacuum leak)

Two holes? What base are we talking about? The AC Box? If so which side of the AC Box?

I never knew what that controlled!
Could this be the reason the only time I ever get air coming thru my dash vents when using "Vent" setting is at WOT on the interstate and shortly after turning off the interstate??

Is the vacuum motor single directional or bi directional? If I recall correctly, vacuum one way will put it to all vents, and the other all to the floor, and no vacuum splits it. There's also one for the defrost/defog/other options.

The actuators are all spring-loaded one way. Vacuum operates them the other way.

My Olds is already stored for this year but, If I remember correctly, I believe the yellow one goes into the right side port on the reservoir along with the red one closest to the fender. Then the red one goes to the intake. The port next to it on the reservoir will be a black line coming from the heater box itself I think. You'll know you have it hooked up correctly when you get heat, air flow through the vents, floor and mid level.
I hope this helps a bit.
