Steering column question

Possibly a dumb question but I'm trying to move a car this weekend. Would I be able to use a steering column from a '73 Delta 88 in a '72 Cutlass?
Olds parts are few and far between around here, trying to work with what I can find.
Would like to know if it's possible before I fight the mice for it at the junkyard.

At some point whenever I get the time I'm going to go pull it just to see if I can make it work.
Better than nothing.

The length will be different and mounting points won't match up. A Chevelle column will work.

Appreciate it, and I figured as much. I don't think Chevelles are any more common here oddly enough but I will keep an eye out for a proper BOP column.

If I try it anyway I'll be sure to update if or how it works. I just need to be able to move it, it needs much more before it can be driven.

Hey Mr Snaggle....have you looked at the classified section here?
Someone has this part. Look at the guys with many for-sale posts and shoot them a private message. (Read the classified rules first)
One of them likely have a stash. A column isn't crazy to ship.

Or place a parts wanted ad.

Thats is what this site is for...well one of the reasons for its existence.

I'm still curious if I could have made it work but I ended up finding one from a '70 Tempest so no need to try.
