Shocks

Hello all,

Does the front shocks have any effect on the height to the front of the vehicle?

I don't think so. It is more where the bushings on the top and bottom are tighten up. There are teeth in the bushings that dig into the upper a-frame shaft.

An while on the subject, what are the best performance shocks for the 68-72 A-bodies, where cost is not a limiting factor and the stock suspension compoents are used?

So far I have heard of Edlebrock and Bilstein...

As Norm pointed out, no. Think about it. You can remove the shocks from the front end and the car will sit the same as it did before.
