Rear bumper with cut outs

Can anyone tell me what parts house will sell me a good rear bumper for a 70 cutlass? I have done some reading on these and have found chrome peeling or fitment problems. I have parts catalog s for fusic, opg, the parts place and I found one at tameraz. Thanks in advance for the advice!...Mike

Tamraz has the best bumpers. Many of us including me have bought from them - great quality and fit. I don't believe for a minute that they are all the same.

Just a heads up, they frequently offer a discount of around 10% on phone orders. I called today just to see if it was the same and their sales rep Alex offered me a 69 442 rear bumper listed on the site at $359 for $323. 800.442.4601

Which is the better bumper? It looks like for a 1970 bumper with exhaust cut outs they have two different bumpers, at least they list two on ebay. They have one that says it's made with new tooling limited production and then the goldenstar. Which bumpers is everyone getting?

Thanks

What is the current thinking between a repro vs rechroming what you have? My bumper is straight but the chrome is starting to show its age. I'd like to reuse it but the prices I have been quoted seem prohibitive. What are you guys paying to have one redone? I'm thinking do a repro & save my orig. Also nice to have it a one day job compared to waiting for it to come back.

Tamraz IMHO has the best repo bumper if you get the one that is triple plated. How do I know this because I have one for my rear and when I compared it to my original which I had rechromed I could not tell the difference in quality or weight or fitment as a matter of fact. The cost to get one redone is between 6-8 hundred bucks or possibly more. I had the bumpers redone for my 68 and they are show quality cost me 650 per bumper 2 years ago and now he charges 750 per bumper. Also it took me over a month to get mine back from the chrome shop.
