Hi Guys,

after revising engine valves at the Oldy Garage there are a strange problem with the ventilation:
Air no longer comes from the upper air nozzles - the whole Air is blowing over the lower vent in the middle. The Blower Motor ist working but I guess there is a flap in the heater/defroster core who is no more open.
Any tips of you specialists?

If this car has factory air conditioning, the doors inside the HVAC box under the dash are operated with vacuum diaphragms. The hose that provides this vacuum from the engine apparently didn't get connected properly when the valves were done.

Seems I have to open this Box to look after the flaps & vacuums
All hoses are connected on carburator and engine..

Whatever - where is the screw gun?

I doubt it. If the system was working before the valve job and now is not working, the chances that the problem is inside the HVAC box are nearly nonexistent.

You can waste your time disassembling it or you can do some troubleshooting first and avoid that headache. The fact that hoses are connected doesn't mean that they are connected correctly. Have you checked for vacuum at the actuators under the dash when the controls are set? Your Chassis Service Manual will tell you which actuators get vacuum at each control setting.
