Pertronix vs Mallory E-Spark

My 72 Cutlass S (350 2 barrel) came with a Mallory E Spark electronic ignition already installed. I bought another one as a back up to keep in the glove box in case the existing one croaks. They can die all of a sudden & leave you stranded. But, does anyone feel a Pertronix unit would be a better choice than Mallory? This is strictly a factory family car, no racing. It's a bit of a hard starter when the car is all warmed up and then has sat for between 10 minutes and and hour or so.

I have no experience with the Mallory unit but am very satisfied with Pertronix. I have had one in my boat for years and it still works very well. It is not going to give a lot of performance boost but it does give quick starts and is install and forget about it. There are a number of supporters of ignition points on here and that is okay if that is what they like. Mallory has been around a long time and I am sure their unit is probably as good as Pertonix.
