3 = Oldsmobile
42 = Cutlass Supreme
57 = 2-door hardtop
G = Framingham, Mass. assembly plant
62867 = Fisher Body sequence number
TR 979 = saddle vinyl interior
A51 = front bucket seat
81 = lower body color = bamboo
F = upper body color = saddle tan
02D = assembly date = 4th week of February 1972
As far as the VIN:
3 = Oldsmobile
J = Cutlass Supreme
57 = 2-door hardtop
K = 350 V8, 180 hp, 4-bbl carb, single exhaust
2 = model year (1972)
G = assembly plant (Framingham)
115693 = serial number at the Framingham plant

I will say this... I had it professionally detailed today and it shines like a diamond in a goat's butt! I love my detail guy, he is awesome.

Way back during my first tour in the Corps, we had a Master Sergeant that had all these sayings. He would use the "diamond in a goat's butt" saying when someone would do something that made them stand out.
That saying has stuck with me every since then. I pull it out of my tool box and use it when trying to describe something and really want people to visualize what I am saying/writing.
