Smile New guy needs help decoding please

Good morning folks. I recently purchased a 72 Cutlass Supreme and would like to get some help decoding please:

ST 72 34257 G 62867 BDY
TR 979 A51 81 F PNT
02D
VIN: 3J57K2G115693

Any help is appreciated.

As far as the VIN:

3 = Oldsmobile
J = Cutlass Supreme
57 = 2-door hardtop
K = 350 V8, 180 hp, 4-bbl carb, single exhaust
2 = model year (1972)
G = assembly plant (Framingham)
115693 = serial number at the Framingham plant

Thank you for the help, I really appreciate it. I promise I will post pics soon. Right now I am taking care of knit picky items trying to get ready for Turkey Rod Run.


I will say this... I had it professionally detailed today and it shines like a diamond in a goat's butt! I love my detail guy, he is awesome.

Care to explain why a goat would have a diamond in it's butt and how often you have witnessed this spectical?

Way back during my first tour in the Corps, we had a Master Sergeant that had all these sayings. He would use the "diamond in a goat's butt" saying when someone would do something that made them stand out.

That saying has stuck with me every since then. I pull it out of my tool box and use it when trying to describe something and really want people to visualize what I am saying/writing.
