New 64 F85 owner. Looking for parts
#4
What's your location? If your near the Portland area check out supercarsunlimited for new parts. For used parts make a list of what you need and post it in the parts wanted section. There doesn't seem to be as many of us Olds nuts in the PNW but there's a few of us that may have spare parts available. John

Thanks for the recomendations guys. I found the hood at USA.
I need a couple more posts before I can post a list in the parts wanted section. Im looking for a driver side fender and a passenger side headlight bezel.

The peak of the fender is different as it comes to the eyebrow mldg. Not a huge difference. If you use both fenders from a '65, it would be hard to tell. Only the purist would notice. It would be real noticeable if you use one 64 fender and one 65 fender. The 64 fender peak comes straight down to the eyebrow as the 65 peak comes down and curves to the outside at the eyebrow.

The edge of the hood will be different, you can only run a complete 65 front clip on a 64, everything else is different, in fact the only body parts that are the same are the doors and trunk lid. By the way of the muscle car magazines has a 65, 442 with a 64 clip on the cover.

It confused me seeing that.
Trdbrd you might want to check out this place http://www.dvap.com/. Its a junkyard in AZ(I know your far from AZ but they ship) . They have alot of Oldsmobiles but their stuff is expensive. IIRCC they wanted $300 for a set of emblems and eyebrow trim for the 64. They might have the parts you need cheap tho.
