My first Oldsmobile
Hey guys and gals,
Just bought my first Oldsmobile a 1970 Cutlass Conv. I have never owned an Olds before so I thought I would try to pick your brains
.
A little about the car:
1970 Convert.
350 Auto
No power brakes
No air
Bucket seats
Center console
power windows
power top
Is this a common setup for a Cutlass?
I have seen pictures on Ebay of these cars with a bench seat, are buckets an option?
The car will need fenders ( bottoms rotted out ) and a door. Will any 70-72 cutlass work for these items?
Is there a website where I can 'Educate' myself ?
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks

Most convertibles were usually highly optioned, so the lack of power brakes and A/C w/power windows is an unusual combo. This setup would be more common to a hardtop, except for the P/W. Buckets and console was an option on all Cutlass models. Any 70-72 Cutlass except a post(or 4 door doors) will work for body parts. The 70-72 fenders will bolt on to any model but the 70 is different only that the top edge were the hood contacts the rubber bumpers is smooth and the 71-2 has ridges. Holes for fender well trim may also be slightly different. I believe all convertibles were Supremes. 442.com is a good info website, not 100% but close. You might also try REALOLDSPOWER.com for more info because it is a very highly travaled site and there are a lot of very knowledgeable Olds guys and gals on that site. Hope this helps.
