Ok, so I knew there were mice in my car, in the headliner for sure. I pulled that down and replaced it with a PUI headliner. Fit was good and turned OK since i did it. The headliner was full of mouse nests and ***** no surprise, will post pics of before and after. Now the front seat was something else, drivers cushion is Ok as well as the bottom foam and the top stiff foam on the seats backs. The passenger back didn't fair as well. It was packed with mouse nest and ****. There were also 4 mouse mummies in there, pleasant. So I stripped and vacuumed it. Sprayed down with vinegar/cleaner, then baking soda and water. It will require painting on the frame here and there. I will need to get creative with the seam padding. I also scrubed the interior and sprayed down the carpet with vinegar. I noticed my seat covers didn't come with the head rest option, hoping they fit otherwise and can be added later. They are a nice seat cover, PUI's site sucks in my book. I can get the covers reasonably priced and the proper package tray from RPM in Saskatoon.

Be very cautious when cleaning out mice nests... The Hantavirus, if present, can be a very dangerous health risk... "Hantaviruses are a group of viruses that may be carried by some rodents. Some hantaviruses can cause a rare but deadly disease called hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. The disease is called HPS for short."
The only reason I mention this is because a friend of mine passed away as a result of this disease... He had his Corvette stored in a barn for many years and it was believed he contracted the disease while cleaning out the car... It's highly recommended to wear a mask and not breathe any dust in that environment... Just wanted to pass this info along, can't hurt to be safe...

 

Get a cat.

And you didn't have to buy a cat. Cool creatures though.

I've done most of my interior, well all except the headliner. I hired out for that. Hats off to you for doing all this work. I don't feel I could have done all that. Its all risk vs.reward.

Thanks, I am. Drove down to Lake to go fishing, about a 1/2 hour drive. Hoping for Rock Bass , just a small Pike and Walleye. Car is awesome to cruise in, wind noise is gone with the new window sweeps and RTV on the door seals. Planning on a new rear seat cover, carpet and finally the right package tray next spring. The headliner wasn't that bad and turned out OK for a driver. When I add the 2004R with a 2200-2500 stall and cruise this winter, hoping for 30 mpg imperial with all Olds power. Also adding Accel 8.8 25 ohm race wires, NGK XR45 plugs in place of the AC 46SZ plugs and an Ignitor 3 module to go with the Accel Supercoil and a brass cap with a low ohm button. I have a ton of part throttle mechanical, using lighter springs and vacuum advance, this 260 likes it.
