I decided after work to spend some time on the newly acquired member of the family. I had changed the plugs, put in fresh fuel and all of that a while back with no success. Today I changed the plug wires and got a sputter. I grabbed my lovely wife and asked her to shoot some quick start into the carb as I turn it over - blam - fired up and after a few minutes was idling like a champion. It's a little rough at mid range but the carb probably needs to be rebuilt after sitting 20 years.
Now that I know it runs fine I can focus on brakes, exhaust, all of that good stuff.
