Headliner for Convertible??

Hi guys,.. new Cutlass owner here and I am looking for a headliner (if there was one) for my '71 Cutlass Supreme Convertible. Right now the frame assembly is exposed from the interior of the car. The top is new but not sure how to finish the interior. Any suggestions?? OPGi does not show one and made me wonder if they ever had one to begin with.

Thanks in advance,
Carl

They didn't.

That's a 1990's BMW-type thing.

Agree. Just always drive top down and it does not matter.

Perfect !! Just wondering if they did. I suspected not. Thank you so much for the help. Yes,.. the top will be down most of the time.

Thanks again,
Carl

on the same subject..

just curious if you are able to specify the interior color when ordering a top, my car originally came with a gold top and a gold interior, I was wondering if it is possible to order a white top with a gold interior color?

Check the assembly manual. It has all the combinations you could order spelled out

A new top should come with a set of pads that run the length of the top on either side. They'll typically be the color of the underside of the top.

Convert headliner

My Cutlass convertible came with a headliner made of some kind of black fabric that was attached with velcro to the convertible frame. I have no idea what the original source of that was (probably custom), but simply mention it to let you know there is an option.

It has been sitting in my closet ever since I bought the car two years ago because the top is always down.

The black pads are required to go between the top and the frame rails to prevent premature wear on the top.
