Any 78-80 rallye gage cluster will work unless your car has the C-4 system- engine control computer for the layman, with an electronic carb and distributor. All 3.8 V6 cars had it and some gas 350 engines. But since the 442 was the only 1980 A-body to get 350, you may not have to worry about that.

The tachs can be switched for 6 or 8 cylinder cars. You'll have to change the temp and oil pressure sending units, and I think you'll have to move some wires in the cluster plug to get everything working right.

Most every gage cluster I've seen was floor shift so you might lose your shift indicator.

I found one in the shop a couple days ago that I think I pulled out of a 79, probably 15 years ago. No idea if it still works, but there's not much that can go wrong except sometimes the printed circuits get brittle and break. I'll let it go cheap + shipping. PM if you're interested.

I recently did the swap to a 442 cluster, and it was pretty easy. Found this link where it shows how to do it. http://tech.oldsgmail.com/ch_eint.php I think it looks alot cleaner without having another 3 gauges mounted somewhere. the sending units for temp and oil were pretty cheap and an easy swap. Good luck with it, think you'll like the results if you do it. Also check the ground on your gas tank, thats why mine was off.
