What year is that? 62? I would love to build a drag car out of that thing!

By the way, by mid-week you can see TWO of them. The second one I bought earlier this year is FINALLY on a truck from San Jose. Yes, both are 62s.

I had the decal made by a vendor at Carlisle. He has a computer controlled vinyl cutter and will make any sign you want. This one cost me all of about $7.

And now you've seen two of them...

Yes, the second one FINALLY arrived today. The trucker mucked up the front valance panel on the passenger side, as seen in the second photo. We came to an equitable financial settlement. Once I get it off the trailer I'd take a family portrait.

By the way, it's listing to the left because both driver's side tires are flat in these photos.

I am extremely jealous! Joe, looks like the trailer hasn't moved in years.....or does your grass just grow fast down there?

With all the rain we've had this year, the grass grew EXTREMELY fast this year. Also, I've gotten good at backing the trailer into the same gap in the tall grass that I pulled it out of. Moving it to mow would be waaaay too much work.

Joe,
Did you get it running yet ?
It cleaned up pretty nice.
Looks like they gave you a different hood.

Gene,

The car had an incorrect Jetfire hood when we saw it, from one of Dean Scott's other cars. The deal for the wagon was always that the Jetfire hood would be returned to the car that it came from. I've not gotten running yet because I'm buying a rotisserie from Greg Smith Equipment at Fall Carlisle.

Maybe, but that's all you need for a 2,600 lb car. Same bolt pattern as the 1964-70 six cylinder Mustangs, Falcons, and Comets.

Yes Joe, I totally forgot about that.
Did you get all the engine parts that were off?
That is a good find, thank goodness it was stored inside for all that time.

Same bolt pattern but the Mustang center hole diameter is smaller. The reason I know this is I recently bought a 63 Cutlass/F-85 2 door and one of the wheels was not seated to hub because the center hole was too small. I also had another wheel/tire and single wheel in the trunk. I had to put tires on all wheels as it sat for many years and all tires were still bias tires! When I pulled the small center wheel off the car it had Ford stamped into it and so did the wheel/tire in the trunk(bias tire). One wheel on the car was rusted out so I had the bare original wheel to replace it but left me with only 3 originals so I had to put the Ford wheel back on. I also recently contacted a guy that has a 61 F-85 wagon that has been inside for more than 20 years but he has already started modifying it. I have asked for pics but have yet to receive any.

Yes, I found that out the hard way. Fortunately, my slot mags are lug-centric, to the center bore is large enough to clear.
