I wanted to go wider but I can't without cutting my car. This is what it will sit like at ride height.

Hey Rich, I dig the test fit on those tires. Are those on the car yet with the rims? If so, post a pic. That thing looks pretty with those tires and the ride height in the pic. Would like to see it with the hardware included.

The lastest pics in my build thread show it with the wheels but its about 3.5" too high still. I need to get it all together and settle the suspension before I start adjusting ride height.

Here is what it looked like with a different temporary set of wheel and just cut factory springs. To give you an idea the back tire size in that pic is what I will now be running on the front.

i would go with 275-60-15 in the back (thats what i have on my 71 cutlass) and 235-60-15 up front because i had 245-60-15 upfront and they rubbed every once in a while when i had to make a u-turn but other wise they were fine.

That is a nice ride man! I really like the square body Cutlass from 65' - 67'. I checked out your thread with the pictures of your progress...that's awesome! You're definitely doing it the right way. In fact, I was having flashbacks of my build after seeing everything you did with your frame off.

Richard, I know that the paint is the same in the before and after pictures. Amazing what a difference in perceived color a light source can provide (and electronic reproduction via our computers).

Those wheels look pretty cool. What color are you going to go on the car? Is it just primered now?

Thanks, I plan an all black murda look. Even thinking bout have the bumpers powder coated black as well, the grill will also be black. Plan to have front calipers poweder coated red, to match my red 442 grill inserts...

That was cool was waiting for him to rip a 180 and go peelin' out of there or somethin'. I always wanted to black a car out like that but have the chrome done in that smoked chrome or whatever you would call it, I think that would look pretty sweet.
