Looking at a 1969 Cutlass S convertible. trim plate reads:

947 55 A


01A


I know the top row is 1969 and then the body code for a Cutlass V8, 2D convertible,1969, Lansing, fisher body number. I also determined the 55 is Glade Green or Tahitian Turquoise (which is correct?). I believe the 01A is first week of January.


What I don't know is what is 947 and what color is A for the top.

244460 BDY = body number (has no relation to the VIN)
TR 947 = interior color & front seat type = parchment in color with s split bench seat
55 A PNT:
55 = lower body color = Tahitian turquoise
A = convertible top color = white
01A = time build code = January (01), first week of that month (A), 1969

I show paint 55 as Glade Green but I have also seen Tahitian Turquoise in a couple of references. Have a picture of it?

This is for a 1969 Cutlass Supreme Holiday Coupe V8 350.

Data plate:
69-34287 BF = so 1969, Cutlass Supreme from Fremont, CA. (?)
TR 974 B80 = Gold interior with chrome roof moldings (?)
P: 59 G = meadow green (?)
11D = ??

Looking mainly for trim interior code, as i would like to restore seats, door panels and carpet.

Here's my actual interior, will I be good with "Gold" interior for all parts?

 

Paint is Meadow Green (59) with a green vinyl top (G).


11D = time build code = November (11), fourth week of that month (D), 1968.


B80 is the exterior drip scalp moldings. I believe they are stainless.

For the 1969 model year, paint code 55 is Tahitian Turquoise Mist.
Glade Green Metallic is paint code 57.

Odds are good GM-Canada still has original production info on your car.
