ac drier

where does the a\c drier mount on a 1971 cutlass 442 455
im doing a new a/c and i dint remove it. the drier was missing when i purchased the car. is there a book i can buy that has pictures?

also the ac lines is their a vendor where i can buy the replacement lines for the a/c

It mounts to the passenger side radiator support on the front passenger grille side (between the passenger grille and support). There is a sight hole in the top of the support to look down into to see the dryer sight glass about 6" below. A copy of the Factory Assembly manual will show this in detail and is a great thing to have anyway. Most of the venders and ebay have reproductions of this. Hope this helps.

Classic auto air sells new hoses and can even rebuild your old ones for a perfect fit.

Is there a diagram for the vacuum lines on a 1971 cutlass 455 4 barrel?

I do not know of an all-inclusive one. You have to look in various sections of the service manual to figure out all the routing.
So if you have not got one, yet, order a factory manual soon - its the best tool you will ever buy for the money...
