My x bought the olds about a month ago and it was running fine but had the service eng. soon light on.Had a code of 42 which is ignition timing from what I have found out so far.It has the 2.5 4-cyl. About 1 1/2 weeks ago it died on her on the way to school.I`ve replaced the ignition control mod., crankshaft sensor,fuel filter,checked timing gears,and traced wires,vac lines where I could.It'll run fine when it runs,but when it dies,it floods.I`ve seen some pretty strange things like the injector staying on and filling the throttle body when the key is turn on but not started.I'm beginning to think the computer is failing but don`t want to replace it if I dont have to.Is there any thing else that may cause these symtoms?
