72 Cutlass Supreme Convertable

Hello,
I am restoring a 72 Cutlass Supreme I need a little help; it has the 350 engine, does any one have detailed pictures of the engine that show the brackets for the air compressor, power steering, alternator, etc... Also, I am converting to floor shift and I need a floor shift steering column. I’ll appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks,

I have some pictures of my '71 Cutlass engine bay with the 350 before I rebuilt the engine and made some changes but they are old "instamatic" pictures and the color is really faded and probably won't duplicate well digitally. I had that car way back in '76. Nice one too.

Anyway, welcome to our site. I hope someone else will be able to help you out.

I should be able to take some pictures this weekend and post for you if nobody else has time between now and then. Do you need any of the brackets? I have a floor shift column, but if we're on opposite sides of the country it might save you on shipping to find one closer. Please post your city and state. Anything else your looking for? John

May I suggest you check ebay for an Assembly Manual. Best $30 (or so) you'll ever spend. (Just stay away from those sold by millenium) Shows every durned nut, bolt and braket on a car in an exploded view.

Thanks for the pictures in advance; I like to know what color in the steering column and how much you want for it. I am in Jacksonville, Florida.

There is currently a GM service manual for '72 Cutlass on Ebay from some folks in Canada. I picked one up awhile back, and it has been invaluable. I think I paid around $50 including shipping. Well worth the price. I would show you some pix of my motor, but someone dropped in a '73 Omega engine at one time. The a/c sits up higher than on a '72, so the air cleaner snorkel is on the driver side.

Welcome to the site, Chumley
