71 cutalss rear wheel clearnce

71 cutalss rear wheel clearnce

I am looking to put 18 X 11 wheels on the rear and 18 X 9 in front does anybody know if I will have any clearance issuse?...offset is 18 on rear and 15 on front...71 cutalss convertible..thanks for any suggestions.

Once again, it's difficult to assess clearance without knowing the TIRE size you plan to run.

Largest I've seen is 10" rims on stock vehicles but that doesn't mean it won't fit. You need to get in there and measure it. Just remember a 11" rim is 12" overall because the measurement is taken at the bead not outside to outside. I know my 70 Cutlass had wheel wells that were close to 14" inside to fender lip but you still need to measure it. If you're spending that kind of money for big wheels and tires do it right once.

ok thanks guys i did some measring and i think they will work my backspace was biggest issue rims have 6.1 backspaing and i think that will work.
