70 cutlass supreme

I'm picking it up tonight. I've owned every GM brand but OLDS so this is my first one. It's a 70K original mile 350 L74 car. It's had one repaint and its an AZ car and pretty well preserved. The first thing on the list is to put duals on it next week. Then reupholster the front seats. IMG_4113.JPG

I drove it home and everything worked great. Decent power and cold ac. Thanks every one. Not sure what mirrors, look like factory sport mirrors. the drivers side has an inside adjustment.

Can you snap a pic of the mirrors? It just doesn't look like a 1970 mirror to me is all.

These are 1970 only mirrors:

And these would be the style of a 71 through about 88 sport mirror:

^^^This. Those later mirrors use the same heads as the 1971-72 mirrors, but taller pedestals that have a different angle, which is why they don't line up properly on the door. Obviously someone added those in place of the original chrome outside mirror.

That's not a build sheet. That's the window sticker. Still pretty cool to have.

We can see on the sticker that the car was built in Fremont, California, which means there might actually be a build sheet somewhere in the car if it hasn't been removed by a prior owner.

70 olds cutlass supreme

New front seat covers and dual exhaust are in. AC is blowing real cold now after a R134A retrofit. New shocks on all 4 corners. I really like this car.

new seat covers and foam up front. The backseat was already perfect so I left it alone. Bought the covers from OPGI. Nice fit.

found the build sheet for my Fremont built 70 Supreme on top of the gas tank, under the rubber insulator mat.

Well if I ever drop the tank, I'll get it out. The tank sending unit has been changed so theres a good chance its gone if that's where it was. Can't say I'm looking too hard for it however. Some things are better left unfound. Hey you're in Phx. I bought this car up in North Phoenix. Nice 71, that's a beauty. Great color.
