69 Cutlass wheel question

What size back tires do you reccomend in order to give my car a wide stance (but not protuding out the wheel well too rediculously) and a slightly raised rear end. My intentions are to give the car a more aggressive look. I currently have olds SS2 rims on the front and back with BFG radial TA's P245/60/R14. I plan to order 15x8 SS2's for the back, but not sure what tire size. Can yall help me out so I dont order the wrong size. Not very familiar with tire sizes and what would look correct with my current set up. My engine is a 455 that has trouble keeping the wheels from spinning, so that is another reason why I want bigger tires in the rear. Thanks for your help.

I would recommend 15X8's with a standard 4 1/4 offset, with 275's. You'll always have problems hooking up on street tires. If you have problems on the track, don't do a burn out. If you still have problems at the track, buy a pair of BFG Drag Radial T/A's. They are my favorite and you WILL hook up! I should take a picture in the light, but I was just too anxious when I put them on. lol These are 15X10's 5 3/4 offset.

Thanks for the response. I like your setup! Do you have a daylight pic yet? Very interested to see what it looks like from the front. Thanks.
