68 supreme interior
Hey guys, I'm on the fence about replacing the split bench seat covers in my 68 Supreme. The interior is 100% original in this thing and is extremely mint (only 38k original miles). I've got some tiny tears starting across the stitching on the drivers seat and those will probably come apart if I try taking the cover off to restitch that split seam. I recall chasing this a few years ago and couldn't find anyone that sold the Supreme style interior as it's different then the 442 patterns I see in the catalogs. I noticed that Tamraz is listing a set on ebay at $380 for the front/back covers. Anyone ever deal with supreme style covers? Everyone I called back then thought I was speaking greek when I described the bottom cover on the back of the frame as having rug loop on it and they'd said it wasn't original which I know it to be. I'm leaning towards just leaving it this way rather than put some cheap crappy covers on it that won't match the rest of the interior. any thoughts?

You might be able to wait a little longer as yous still looks good despite its age and it is only original once.
If you are looking for the best covers you can get, use Legendary. They have the Supreme covers that you need. They are great!!!

Hopefully the colors will match up well so you do not end up replacing the whole interior like I did.
Black is easier, but depends on sun fading of your originals.

Thanks for the link. I've never dealt with Legendary before but I've heard good things about the quality. All my stuff's been through PUI. I'll be sticking with this seat for now, I really don't want to mix and match original with repops.

I would check out some upholstery shops. Decide on the best one that understands you needs. They can replace or repair panels of the same material. I have had it done a couple of times, looks factory. If you take the seat to show them, might get a better deal for they don't have to remove the seat.

I have some Riviera bucket seats. Guess what? The bottom cover on the back of the frame has RUG LOOP. (Must have been built in Amish country. They don't waste ANYTHING!)
