Lets say I want to make a 442 clone out of this car, where do I stick the 442 badge on the back? What else do I need to do to make it a clone aside from the fender badges? I would like to swap out the auto to a stick but the little woman hates driving a stick shift and I am building this car for her. I have my bird and she claimed this when I brought it home. That was cool with me cuz I was plannig on sleeping at the shop for a couple days. She usualy gets all bent out of shape when cars follow me home.

The emblem mounts on the deck lid passenger side on the vertical edge, the fronts mount ahead of the wheel opening on the fender.True 64 442's are very rare regardless of body style. I have seen several "cloned" 64's and a few outright fakes, all 64 442's had a 4 speed, rear sway bar and boxed arms, and dual snorkel air cleaner, there are of course some small details that help authenticate a true 442 but it is still fairly easy to clone.
I found the bent up right headlight filler panel in the trunk and I have been having a tough time locating one. So I pulled out some tools and went to work. I took the before picture about half way through fixing it.
Now I need to locate the right side fender eybrow trim.

The grills are different, so is the back tail panel. I believe the 65 front end is a little longer then the 64. Im sure there's more. This is just what I can come up with off the top of my head at 5:20 am.
Heres the 64 grill.

I recently learned the fenders are slightly different. I have project cars of both years in the driveway but had not looked that closely at them until Gene explained to me. The ridge running down the top blends into the headlight eyebrow trim differently between the two years. John
