Hello, I have a 1985 cutlass with the 3.8L V6. I have been having a hard time finding parts for the motor and have come to find that parts for a buick 231 are much easier to obtain. Are parts for these motors interchageable? Things such as intake manifolds, carbs, heads, etc. IF anyone knows the answer it would be greatly appriciated.

Hi. I have two different G-body manuals. According to them, the 231 in your Cutlass is a Buick built engine. My 83 pontiac has one too. As long as the distributor is in front, it is a buick engine. Hope this helps. Jim.
