Question 22'' rims(no lift) on 72' cutlass needs new rear shocks

Ive been told i need longer than stock shocks or possibly air shocks.I am trying to avoid the lift and/or "airbagging" due to how costly this can be.Also, I have 2 12'' alpines in a ported wooden box thats adding weight on the rear end which i think is why only the rear shocks have given out.I've had my eyes on a set of coil overs from either ride tech or Qa1,would either of these solve my problems of both added height and weight?

Do you have a picture of the way the fit? Longer shocks won't help as they are not meant to support, just to provide dampening. I'm not a fan of air shocks, but would go to a heavier rear spring to raise the car a bit.

Click on go advanced and then the paperclip on the top. I like Moog springs see link below.
