1996 Cutlass Cierra sl timing chain

Hi! So I have a 1996 Cutlass Cierra sl with a timing chain issue, does anyone know how much it would be to replace it? Also is my car a drop or pull engine, cause it looks like a pull due to the welded bar underneath the engine but people are telling me it's a drop, causing prices to rise drastically with my problem. If it's anything, I would love to know how to fix it myself if anyone has tips on how to do so

Welcome to the group... First, I'm a little confused, since the last year of manufacture for the Cutlass Ciera was 1996 as an A-Body... If you do have a Ciera, the engine can be removed from either the top or the bottom... Since you would have to remove the entire sub-frame to remove it from the bottom, IMO removing it from the top side would be the easiest... Also, on the Ciera, you don't even have to remove the hood to pull the engine from the top side, since you can support it almost straight up...

Sorry yes 1996 Cutlass, I miss typed. Why would labor be so high if it is easy to take out? I'm getting estimates into 2000$ price range when I can find the part for just 50-150$
