1993 Cutlass- What to do????
So, I have a 1993 Cutlass SL with 177k miles on it that I bought with 107 on it. About 4 years ago, a drunk driver slammed into it while she was parked and the insurance company totaled it out. I got full value for the car since it was clean and had most options available- even the daggone luggage rack. (No leather seats though)
I "bought it back" from the insurance company and replaced the front end. She has run strong since the day I bought her. 46 highway miles to work and 46 highway miles home daily. The accident has caused electrical gremlins including the fuel gauge being on full all the time and there is a short somewhere in the steering column. There are occasional puffs of smoke that emit from it.
I have toyed with the notion of putting it in the garage and working on it some more but I have a restored toy already in the 1987 Z-28. I have a hard time with the thought of just junking it as I am going to get a new DD.
So I thought I would throw the question out to those who appreciate the brand. In the words of John Quinones, "What would you do?"

Unless you have lots of energy to devote to the Toronado and to the Cutlass at the same time you should sell the Cutlass for a fair price telling the buyer about the problems and the history. That way you will have a clear conscience and extra money to put into the Toronado.
