1992 Cutlass 3.1 intake
Hey guys, Im sure you already know by the title of my thread but I'm almost 100% sure the intake gasket on my 3.1 motor finally said goodbye. Is there anything I should be aware of when replacing this gasket?? Did the gaskets hopefully change because of this problem.
It has approx 158,000 miles on it. First time this has happened. NEVER overheated before. Changed the thermostat last summer. I just got off of work one day, started my car and the idiot light told me low coolant. Checked the radiator and it was bone dry. Filled it up just enough to get it home, havent started it up since because I dont want to damage the motor. Did a coolant pressure test to check for leaks, nothing. So the coolants going somewhere. Checked my oil. Seems awfully full and smells sweet.
Should I also consider the head gaskets??
Thanks for the help!
