ok i just bought a 1986 culass supreme it a v8 5.0but ithe guy i bought it from saID IT needed a waterpump . so wen i changed it it still was over heating so i replaced the thermastat and it still over heats and leaks on the passenger side but i cant tell where from .....any suggestion please help

 

Is it towards the front of the moter or the rear. Check all connections. How new are the hoses, check for splits. Check heater box on the firewall. Any extra info would be a help.

Very common issue withthis year and motor. May have nothing to do with running hot though.

As for overheating, please tell us more details, like what temperatures, idle or cruising, etc. A/C or not? Make sure your fan shroud is all there and fan clutch works.
