If shes running good and reliable, I'd finish up the interior work first. The body looks good in the pics. You can allways find some more power later, might as well enjoy the car, if youre in it for the right money.

Myself, I would like a car that runs hard.....looks come later. So I might be inclined to do motor work before body work. I have'nt read any of your other posts, so I don't know what your'e looking at doing.

Welcome to CO.

Nice car you got there.
I am not trying to be picky, but you have a 1969 Cutlass "S" convertible, not a "Supreme"
No worries, you are not the first, nor will you be the last to make this mistake. I Thought my first Olds, a '68 Cutlass S was a Supreme as well when I first got it.
I now have a '69 Supreme and now know the difference.

Look here at this one. It is a perfect "helper pic" for this explanation.

It has the very obvious chrome trim running all the way along the lower section of the car. Only the Supremes and Vista Cruisers got that trim I believe. Possibly the flat top wagons too? Not sure about that one though...

Then, look at the hood. The Supreme hood is flat all the way across the center section with no lowered center area like on your Cutlass "S" and the 442's

Also, Supremes have the CS emblem on the rear roof pillar, though this car is missing it, with only the Cutlass emblem on the front fenders.

Hope this helps.
Very nice car by the way, and Welcome to ClassicOlds!!

Hey Jamesbo look, ANOTHER 69!!!

Duane

I am not sure that either is really "worth" more than the other. It really is a matter of personal taste I think.
If I were to say which one I've seen more of, I would have to say the S for sure. I seems to be "the next best thing" to a 442 really as it was when originally sold too.
Your car looks real nice man, and it would look just as good if it were a Supreme in MY EYES, but again, I happen to like the trim of the Supreme.

The heads are great heads too man. #5 or #6 is what most small blocks are running or wanting to run from what I see. Can be made to flow real nice with some mild port work and possibly larger valves. Unless of course your heads already have them.
Read up on some stuff here man, you'll learn a lot in a short time. Then you will forget some of it and come back for more. That's what it's all about.
The search function is awesome too!
