Tilt steering column is wobbling in all positions. Removed all the way down to just under the turn signal plastic cam. Not sure how to tear down deeper. We see a large nut on the center shaft that may be what is stopping further removal.

1. How to tear down the steering column farther than just below the turn signal cam mechanism?

2. What typically causes the tilt steering column to wobble?

Appreciate any suggestions to further the tear down and fix the wobble.

You need to keep going, the 4 screws you need to tighten are further down in the column.

There are lots of YouTube videos on dissammbly/reassembly. Definitely use lock tight on the screws.
