1969 Cutlass S Sports Coupe

Hi guys

I am after some information on my 69 Cutlass S.
I am from New Zealand, and was wondering if anyone can identify the chassis number and VIN.
Chassis #: 336879M240959
VIN: 7AT0DR08X11240959

Can someone also confirm how many of this model were manufactured - Internet providers 10 different answers...

Thanks

In the US this is the VIN number...3 36 87 9 M 240959 =
3 = Oldsmobile
36 = Cutlass S
87 = Holiday Coupe
9 = 1969
M = Lansing Michigan assembly plant
240959 is the sequential assembly line build number
5,730 cc = 5.7 liter = 350 cid Rocket Engine

No idea what that crazy 17 digit numbers is or how to decipher it. Could be a modern VIN applied during import??? Where is this VIN number attached to the car??

Plate EVSUCK = No replacement for oil & gasoline!

Does it have the Fisher Trim Tag under the hood on the cowl? Snap a picture of it. That is the body identification tag.

The 336879M240959 "chassis number" is the GM-issued VIN and is what is used in the US. Apparently when the car was imported a different VIN was assigned to that car. That is between you and your country's customs or motor vehicle department, as that was not on the car when it left the factory. If the engine and trans are original, they will have nine-character VIN derivative stamps on them that should be 39M240959. The engine VIN derivative is located on the driver's side of the engine, below the #1 spark plug. Location of the trans VIN derivative depends on which trans it has. There were 66,495 Cutlass S V8 Holiday Coupes built in the 1969 model year.
