BMR Lowering spring install question

I am getting ready to install the springs noted above ( rear), when I took the old ones out there was the rubber ( what is it called?) ring between the top of the spring and the frame, obviously after 44years it is not in reusuable shape. Is a replacement neccessary? Source? Was there one originally on the bottom too?
Thanks!

Should only be 1 on top of each spring . Also , I bought mine from OPGI . They offer OEM rubber and the poly kind also .
