The Interview
Well after a lot of hoopla The Interview gets released. I watched it yesterday and it was just a whack job of political gaffs, f bombs and bawdy suggestive sexuality.
Was it funny? Meh.
Was it worth paying to see? No
Was it inspiring? No
Does it portray reality? uhhhh, I doubt it.
For those of you planning to watch it? Don't waste your money. You can apparently also watch it online in the comfort of your home?

Hopefully your expectations were not set really high on this one. It was all political sabre rattling over a movie that hardly anyone wanted to see to start with. I for one had already decided to pass long ago and had/will not changed my mind.
thanks Allan
We are planning to go see the hobbit
I am sorry the movie was less then memorable , movies are too expensive nowadays to waste it on what used to be the second feature.. and no cartoons either
Thx again for the headsup

That one is on my MUST SEE list! Only thing with the Hobbit (and Lord of Rings movies) is they are terribly long and sometimes hard to sit through. I enjoy the computer generated imagery but sometimes the fight and chase scenes get drawn out a bit much. Some of the story seems to drag at times which doesn't help captivate anyone who has never read the books.

I will wait for it to come to Netflix. That way I can sleep through it if need be without waisting my cash…I find the new CG type movies just try blow your senses away either visually or auditory wise. Story seams to lack most times. Holly $*&# I sound like my Dad…

Going to the movies
Who pays to Go to movies when you can download them for free from sites like www.icefilms.com. The interview was there for download on Boxing Day and I downloaded it but have not watched it yet.

I did the same David. Just giving a heads up to those who still like the ambience of a theatre. Curious to hear what you think of it when you watch it. Enjoy your trip to the coast!

I rarely go to movies only because there are damn few movies worth the price
except the special effects ones like Avatar, the Lord of the Rings movies, and such.
I love the computer-generated special effects.
I would normally not consider going to a movie like The Interview, but,
I considered this one only as a matter of principle to support
the "in your face" to kim jong il (notice the no caps), the idiot N. Korean dictator,
even though it was pretty certain it wasn't going to be an Oscar winner.

Yup, in the movie they called him kim jong un.
On the flip side I watched The Equalizer (Denzel Washington) and it was a great show! Plenty of intrigue and action. Somewhat predictable but reaching the outcomes was great watching!

il was un's degenerate ol' man, the one that left un the dictatorship when he kicked the bucket.
